Our Pastor

Our pastor is an authentic servant of God. Dr. Jose G. Rodriguez came to faith in Jesus on June 13, 1996, after he found himself in darkness and on the verge of taking his own life. Just as he was about to give up, God stepped in and placed him in His marvelous light. Since then, Dr. Jose G. Rodriguez has been serving the Lord faithfully. From being a high school dropout to getting his PhD, Dr Jose G. Rodriguez has continued to strive for better and leads by example. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Texas at San Antonio, a Master of Divinity from Regent University, and a business PhD in Leadership Studies from Our Lady of the Lake University. He now dedicates his time to helping others overcome life’s struggles. His life’s purpose is to help others dream big and reach higher by developing authentic faith that produces real transformation. 

He has been happily married to his wife, Ruby, for more than 24 years. Together they have four children. Pastors Jose and Ruby Rodriguez started Arise Church on March 8th, 2015. In the words of our pastor, from his book Authentic Faith, “I still want to tell everyone about Jesus. I still want to help all people. I have come to learn that not all Christians have a perpetual fire for Jesus. However, authentic believers live in the perpetual pursuit of a life that pleases God.”
